Firewall Ports

The following services are essential for LTSP to work and must be passed by the firewall.

• You can also monitor /var/log/messages and/or /var/log/daemon.log for blocked packets.
• cat /etc/services to view a partial list of services

• ESD is a Sound server
• Syslog is used to monitor what is happening on your workstations; See TroubleShooting#syslogd_cannot_write_to_remote_f for more information.
