Introduction

This is the installation program for LTSP. It is written in Perl, and it is part of the ltsp-utils package.

Functions

This program performs 3 main functions:

• Configures itself
• Installs and/or Updates the LTSP packages
• Configures LTSP

LTSPAdmin Configuration

• Location of packages on the internet eg. http://ltsp.mirrors.tds.net/pub/ltsp/ltsp-4.2/ (This is the default for ltsp 4.2)
• Location of the installation eg /opt/ltsp (This is the default for ltsp 4.2)
• Set your http and/or ftp proxy if you have any

Installer

This portion of ltspadmin automatically detects if the packages are installed or not and also if it requires updating. In either case, it will download from the location specified previously

Distro specific

• ltsp-utils is part of the extras repo. yum install ltsp-utils
